Baby wet wipes - impact on baby's skin

Although many parents cannot imagine changing their baby without the use of moisturizing wipes, this product is perfect for skin care and maintenance, not only around nappies. Baby wipes not only remove dirt and are useful almost all the time - at home, on a walk, in the car ... Apart from cleaning, the task of this product is to moisturize and protect the not yet fully developed baby's skin.

Baby wipes - what to pay attention to

The liquid with which baby wipes are soaked should not contain irritating substances - such as alcohol, phthalates, artificial dyes, silicones, mineral oils. You should also beware of products containing ethoxylated sodium lauryl sulfate, i.e. SLS (Sodium Lauryl Sulfate) and Sodium Laureth Sulfate (SLES). The smell of the wipes should be neutral or barely perceptible. So what ingredients should good baby wipes have? The liquid with which baby wipes are moistened should mostly (even 99%) consist of water. An addition may be mitigating and soothing substances - for example, natural almond and tea tree oils or chamomile extract. It is good if the composition also includes substances that protect the sensitive skin of a toddler against mycosis and infections. However, they should be safe ingredients of natural origin - for example, grapefruit seed extract, which can be found in the WaterWipes wet wipes recommended by the Institute of Mother and Child.
