DADA Extra Care Moisturizing and nourishing balm contains specially selected emollients, such as vegetable oils, which intensively moisturize, soften and lubricate the skin. Its composition is enriched with prebiotics and probiotics that restore the balance of the skin microbiome. Additionally, water-glycerin extract from chamomile flowers has a soothing effect on the skin, as well panthenol i allantoin, which also accelerate the healing of irritations and minor skin lesions and, together with glycerin, they have a moisturizing effect.

Fragrance composition DADA Extra Care moisturizing and nourishing balm, does not contain compounds from the list of 26 most common allergens, which increases the safety of using the product in the youngest children. The preservation system constitutes methylpropanediol, caprylic glycol and phenylpropanol. Long-term tolerance tests confirmed that the balm meets the criteria for a hypoallergenic product*.

Stage I - Recipe evaluation

During the first stage of product testing DADA Extra Care Moisturizing and nourishing balm the general and health safety of the product was confirmed for the user age group declared by the manufacturer, based on the evaluation of the recipe and the documentation required from the manufacturer.

A detailed analysis of the product and the origin of raw materials was performed, including the results of tests from accredited laboratories confirming their safety. The authenticity of the attestations and certificates of analysis in the scope of the declared product characteristics was verified. All aspects affecting the final quality and safety of the product have been thoroughly analyzed. The documentation of labels and instructions for use was also assessed.

A very good preparation for any sensitive skin, prone to dryness and easy irritation. Appropriate consistency, thanks to which the preparation is easy to spread, absorbs quite quickly, and does not stain clothes. The preparation contains emollient substances that moisturize and lubricate our skin, making it elastic, i.e. appropriately softened, and therefore not easily irritated. Additionally, the preparation takes care of our skin's microbiome - it protects it against pathogenic bacteria, thereby stimulating local natural defense mechanisms. Packaging with a dispenser facilitates quick use, which is also very important in everyday skin care. I think that the balm will find its supporters, although there are many preparations of this type on the market. Each skin is different - it has different sensitivity. So if we find the one that is right for us and is easy to use, we will be faithful to it.

The subject of expert sensory evaluation were the product properties of utility and functional character influencing the user's developmental safety and suitability in everyday use.

The assessment was carried out on product samples by a team of field specialists, based on the knowledge and experience possessed by experts, current research results, guidelines of field consultants and recommendations of scientific societies as well as applicable legal provisions and subject regulations.

Stage III - Application research

The purpose of the third stage of product evaluation DADA Extra Care Moisturizing and nourishing balm was the confirmation of the safety of use and the assessment of the product properties declared by the manufacturer during application tests.

The product for use at home was received by 29 people, mainly medical, scientific and administrative staff of the Institute, registered in the Institute's research panel, who are caregivers of infants and children, in accordance with the result of the formula evaluation and the test criteria. The study involved infants and children (15 girls and 14 boys aged from 2 miesięcy do 3.5 years with their parents/guardians). Babies accounted for 21% of the study group. The study was conducted under the supervision of a dermatologist who was at the caregivers' disposal during the study period in the event of any disturbing symptoms or adverse events. As the study deadline passed, users completed an electronic survey about the product's features, assigning ratings on a scale of 1 to 5 in four main categories. The survey was complemented by in-depth interviews expanding the opinion about the product, conducted by an expert with five randomly selected users.

Great product, smells nice, moisturizes. My daughter's skin does not require special care, but I have noticed that after using the balm, the skin is more velvety. The skin on my hands has also improved after using it every day while applying it to my daughter.

Pros: very efficient product, we use it every day after bathing, and there is still a certain amount at the bottom of the bottle. It spreads easily, does not stick (!) to clothes or to the skin, and moisturizes well - the places on the knees where my son often has abrasions are moisturized every day and the irritations can be seen to be soothed. The consistency is perfect in my opinion, but too thin for my husband - I don't think it will please everyone in some respects. Absorbs quickly. Cons - for me the scent of the balm was completely unnoticeable. On the one hand, it's good, because the less chemicals, the better, but the creams and balms we used before had a delicate note of fragrance.

The overall rating of the product is good in my opinion. The product is good for daily care. As I wrote earlier, it does not "harm" the skin, which is in good condition. For skin with higher demands, prone to dryness or irritation, I think that the degree and maintenance of the product's moisturization would be insufficient. In my opinion, the product should be recommended for daily care, only for people without skin problems and insensitive to fragrances. I will add that the smell of the product is unbearable for me. However, my husband liked it very much. He described it as a slightly delicate, pleasant, childish scent. It's a matter of taste, I don't like very scented cosmetics, hence my opinion about the scent.
