W skladzie BabyBiom probiotic balm for children there are emollients that soften, moisturize and regenerate the lipid layer of the skin, while normalizing the skin microbiome.
They are supported by selected, live cultures of lactic acid probiotic bacteria. By regulating the pH of the skin, they inhibit the development of pathogenic microorganisms, while strengthening the protective barrier of the epidermis. This reduces the risk of atopic dermatitis and/or its exacerbations. Additionally, the role of antioxidants is played by vitamin E and a derivative of vitamin C contained in the balm.

During the first stage of product testing Probiotic balm for children by Baby Biom the general and health safety of the product was confirmed for the user age group declared by the manufacturer, based on the evaluation of the recipe and the documentation required from the manufacturer.

The product will certainly find its place on the market. Its advantages include a composition based on raw materials of plant origin that have emollient properties. Thanks to this, they moisturize, lubricate, soften and regenerate the skin. At the same time, the addition of probiotic strains strengthens the epidermal protective barrier, which is an important feature in children. The consistency of the balm allows it to be spread well on the skin. It is not absorbed instantly, but quite quickly. Thanks to this, we feel the effect of the product on the skin longer.

The purpose of the third stage of product evaluation Probiotic balm for children by Baby Biom was the confirmation of the safety of use and the assessment of the product properties declared by the manufacturer during application tests.
Read moreThe product for use at home was received by 31 people, mainly medical, scientific and administrative staff of the Institute, registered in the Institute's research panel, who are caregivers of infants and children, in accordance with the result of the formula evaluation and the test criteria. Infants and children participated in the study (21 girls and 10 boys aged from 2 months to 11 years, along with their parents/guardians). The study was conducted under the supervision of a dermatologist who was at the caregivers' disposal during the study period in the event of any disturbing symptoms or adverse events. As the study deadline expired, users completed an electronic survey about the product's features, assigning ratings on a scale of 1 to 5 in four main categories. The survey was complemented by in-depth interviews expanding the opinion about the product, conducted by an expert with five randomly selected users.

The balm moisturizes dry skin. Perhaps the effect lasts longer because the product was used regularly twice a day. I also liked the pump dispensing. It is more hygienic than a regular bottle. A small amount of the product is enough for a fairly large area of the child's body.

The probiotic strains contained in the product play a key role in restoring the balance of the skin's microbiome, maintaining its acidic pH and stimulating the immune response. This leads to inhibition of the development of pathogenic microorganisms and strengthening the epidermal protective barrier. An additional advantage of the product is the lack of preservatives and fragrance, which significantly reduces the risk of allergies. This is especially important in products used on infants and children. From the point of view of very dry and atopic skin, the advantage is the composition of the product, i.e. numerous emollients and probiotic bacteria. The smell of the balm can be considered a disadvantage, but the lack of fragrance significantly reduces the risk of allergic reactions. This translates into increased safety of using the product.
