Product description

The SEYSSO Baby Penguin sonic toothbrush is designed for oral hygiene for children aged 0 to 3 years. It gently cleans first teeth in young children, while also massaging and stimulating the gums.

The toothbrush's thickened handle features a non-slip coating, making it comfortable for both caregivers and children's small hands to hold. Interchangeable brush heads with a small, rounded head are available in two sizes. The Baby Penguin's attractive design, soft and flexible bristles, and features encourage children to brush daily.

The Baby Penguin sonic toothbrush by SEYSSO emits a light when turned on, allowing caregivers to inspect the mouth while brushing. It's activated in the traditional way – by pressing a button on the toothbrush handle. One press emits light on the brush head, while a second press activates sound waves and bristle movement.

The fibers move at a frequency of 16 times per minute. The toothbrush timer is programmed for 000 operating mode, i.e. a 1-minute cycle divided into four 2-second periods (Baby Timer). The toothbrush is powered by a 30V AAA battery.

Overall assessment

Younger children have delicate gums, therefore a sonic toothbrush dedicated to children is equipped with sonic vibrations, which are more gentle than sonic movements. Thanks to this, its use does not pose a risk of damaging sensitive primary teeth. Sonic vibrations have no negative impact on the child or the parent's musculoskeletal system and are only minimally transmitted to the user. An additional advantage of sonic toothbrushes is the combination of vibrations with the need to perform standard sweeping movements required when cleaning with a traditional toothbrush. This does not free the child from working with his or her hands and develops him or her manually.

Workmanship without reservations. A connection of the handle with non-slip silicone was used, which is beneficial for the comfort of use. Everything matched exactly. The toothbrush is made of materials that are safe for the child's health. It has no sharp or dangerous parts that could pose a risk. Both the handle and the head are well designed. A product tailored to the age of recipients, taking into account their developmental needs. The illuminated tip makes it easier to observe the teeth while brushing and in my opinion it is a hit that is also worth using in toothbrushes for adults. The vibrations seem to be gentle and are not particularly transmitted to the hand. A product necessary in everyday hygiene. It allows you to introduce good habits into your child's routine early on.

The sonic toothbrush is an interesting proposition for parents - it gives the opportunity to care for the oral cavity of very young children. However, from the speech therapy point of view, sonic toothbrushes can be used not only for care, but also for sensory stimulation of the oral cavity. Replaceable tips attached to sonic toothbrushes make it easy to adapt them to the age and condition of the teeth.

The product was distributed for home use to 30 individuals, primarily medical, scientific, and administrative staff of the Institute, registered in the Institute's research panel. These individuals were caregivers of infants and children, in accordance with its intended use and the study criteria. Six caregivers completed separate surveys for two children of different ages. Thirty-six fully completed surveys for children aged 2 months to 2 years and 11 months (18 girls, 17 boys) were analyzed . At the end of the study period, users completed an electronic survey on the product's features, assigning ratings on a scale of 1 to 5 in four main categories. The survey was supplemented by in-depth interviews, conducted by the lead expert with five randomly selected users, to expand on their opinions about the product.

My daughter and I used the sonic toothbrush for the first time and I am positively surprised, I have the impression that the teeth are better cleaned with it than with an electric toothbrush. The child willingly used it alone and easily withstands the recommended 2 minutes of washing.

Anna, mother of Basia (2,2 years old)

The product is made very carefully. Marysia liked the colors and outline of the penguin. The bristles in the brush are soft, do not irritate the gums and gently clean the teeth. The backlight of the head is attractive to the toddler and thanks to the timer, the child learns how long to brush his teeth.

Katarzyna, Maria's mother (2 years old)

The product is cool, designed with the youngest in mind. The colors and the illuminated tip are encouraging for children. The vibrations are not strong, they did not bother Zuzia. The bristles are soft, but fluffy due to the teething, the brushed gums sometimes bled. The durability of the product is excellent, the product is still in the condition it was in before the first use.

Jakub, Zuzia's dad (10 months)

We enjoyed the brush. The built-in timer is a practical solution - it signals the minimum washing time. We practiced this way - the first minute the daughter brushes, the second minute the parent. The non-slip handle is also a useful solution, especially for small children's hands.

Magdalena, mother of Helena (3,4 years old)

Stas likes to brush his teeth with this toothbrush, sometimes he wants to brush again after finishing, so the product is great. The vibrations are good for massaging the gums. I recommend.

Renata, mother of Stanisław (1 year)
