A pacifier used in exceptional situations satisfies the physiological need to suck, provides a sense of security and reduces the child's stress level. A properly selected and skillfully used pacifier is a better alternative than a sucked thumb. It is easier to wean a child off using a pacifier than off a thumb, which is always within reach and its sucking is reflexive.
The purpose of the third stage of product evaluation was the confirmation of the safety of use and the assessment of the product properties declared by the manufacturer during operational tests.
