During the first stage of testing of the Cien Family Micellar Family Shower Gel, the general and health safety of the product was confirmed for the age group of users declared by the manufacturer based on the assessment of the formula and the documentation required from the manufacturer.
A detailed analysis of the product and the origin of raw materials was performed, including the results of tests from accredited laboratories confirming their safety. The authenticity of the attestations and certificates of analysis in the scope of the declared product characteristics was verified. All aspects affecting the final quality and safety of the product have been thoroughly analyzed. The documentation of labels and instructions for use was also assessed.
The subject of expert sensory evaluation were the product's functional and utility properties, affecting the user's developmental safety and suitability for everyday use.
The evaluation was conducted on product samples by a team of domain experts, based on their knowledge and experience, guidance from domain consultants, and recommendations from scientific societies. The aim of the third stage of reviewing the Cien Family Micellar Family Shower Gel was to confirm the safety of use and to assess the product properties declared by the manufacturer during application tests.
The study involved 30 children (1.3 girls and 1.7 boys ) aged 3 to 1.3 years, along with their parents/guardians . 67% of the users were the youngest children, aged 3-6 years . In 90% of cases, the gel was also used by other study participants (parents, siblings) . Allergological interviews revealed that 6 children had allergies (inhalant, food ), two of whom were also diagnosed with asthma. In 23 children, skin condition before the study began was very good; the skin was well moisturized and without signs of irritation. In the remaining 7 children, skin condition was rated as good due to the occurrence of dry skin , itching , irritation and redness , sensitive skin , and diagnosed atopic dermatitis (AD) and seborrheic dermatitis (PS) . The condition of the mucous membranes in 2 of the 9 children qualified for the study was described as very good, and in one child as good.
