mgr Tomasz Stochaj

physiotherapist, expert cooperating with the Department of Assessment and Development of Cooperation of the Institute of Mother and Child

Tomasz Stochaj, M.A., is a physiotherapist specializing in functional diagnostics of the musculoskeletal system, manual therapy, and the treatment of foot, gait, and postural disorders. He graduated from the Józef Piłsudski University of Physical Education in Warsaw with a Master's degree in physiotherapy. He has been in private practice since 2013 and has owned the Prof&Care rehabilitation clinic since 2016.

In his work, he combines the approach of Western medicine with elements of osteopathy and classical Chinese medicine. He views the body as an integrated system of interconnected structures and functions, therefore, the therapeutic process is preceded by a detailed diagnosis of the causes of ailments. This includes analysis of body posture, movement patterns, tissue tension, and—in the osteopathic approach—the functioning of other body systems.

In therapy he uses, among others:

  • manual therapy,

  • work with fascia and deep tissues,

  • visceral therapy,

  • craniosacral techniques,

  • acupuncture,

  • individually selected recommendations supporting the regeneration process.

In his daily practice, he deals with the treatment of musculoskeletal pain, the treatment of postural defects and foot disorders, the design of individual orthopedic insoles, and the support of patients with digestive and respiratory problems.

His current professional interests include developing competencies in Chinese medicine, analyzing the impact of the circulatory system on regenerative processes and the aging of the body, issues related to the biochemistry of the brain and mitochondria, as well as the use of essential oils and frequency work in the context of health support.

In his relationship with patients, he emphasizes a collaborative approach, mindfulness, and individualized therapy. His goal is to create a space in which the patient understands the mechanisms of their problem and actively participates in the recovery process. His work is guided by the belief that the body has a natural ability to regenerate when provided with the right conditions and appropriate therapeutic support.

Tomasz Stochaj, M.A., has experience in working with the sports community. He has collaborated with, among others:

  • Polish Badminton Association,

  • Masovian District Badminton Association,

  • Warsaw football clubs (youth and juniors),

  • KAMSPORT Tennis Club,

  • SSA Legia 1926 Sports Club,

  • Adidas Running and Nike Running ambassador teams,

  • women's national team in the all-around athletics (physiotherapeutic support).

Privately, he actively practices Brazilian jiu-jitsu, taking part in national and international competitions, which allows him to better understand the needs of physically active people and athletes at various levels of advancement.
