A graduate of the psychology department at the SWPS University in Warsaw, the pedagogy department of the UKSW in Warsaw and postgraduate studies at the University of Warsaw: Creativity training and art therapy (art therapy) for children and adults, as well as postgraduate studies: Psycho-oncology at the SWPS University in Warsaw. Member of the Polish Psycho-oncological Society and the Sarcoma Association, acting for the benefit of oncological patients.

Ms. Joanna Pruban has been working at the Department of Oncology and Oncological Surgery for Children and Adolescents at the Institute of Mother and Child in Warsaw for 18 years. Since 2014, she has also been running the Psycho-oncology Clinic at the Institute.

Author of scientific, popular science and review articles, as well as training courses related to the improvement of the quality of communication in the doctor-patient relationship. In 2017-2019, as a co-organizer and lecturer, she participated in the project of the National Program for Combating Cancer Diseases entitled Training of medical personnel in the field of psycho-oncology. Ms. Joanna supplements her professional knowledge by participating or acting as a speaker at scientific, medical and psychological conferences and thematic trainings.

In his professional practice, he conducts psychological consultations, psychological therapy, and works with people experiencing the need for change and personal development in their lives. Individually, Ms. Joanna also works with children, adolescents and adults experiencing various life difficulties. For many years she has been involved in projects helping families with educational problems and in crisis. Mrs. Joanna conducts workshops and training for various professional groups, including: nurses, teachers, volunteers, students, psychologists and pedagogues interns, regarding issues related to psychoprevention and improving the quality of life in health and illness. Lecturer and trainer of developmental psychology classes for students.

Privately, she is a mother of three children. Ms. Joanna's interests include, among others: poetry, literature and skiing.
