Since 2015, Ms. Joanna Płoska has been associated with the Diabetes Clinic of the Institute of Mother and Child, where she works as a diabetes nurse. It is worth adding, however, that apart from her role in the Diabetes Clinic, she also deals with occupational medicine.
On a daily basis, he prepares patients diagnosed with type 1 diabetes for treatment with a personal insulin pump. To support these people in their everyday lives, Ms. Joanna conducts comprehensive training directly related to the treatment method, as well as technical training - including the CGM (Continuous Glycemia Monitoring) system. Additionally, Ms. Joanna Płoska provides education for patients with gestational diabetes and pregnant women with type 1 diabetes, and also prepares pregnant women to change their therapy. He also connects to insulin pumps.
Joanna's work-related activities include participation in the Great Orchestra of Christmas Charity program entitled Program of Personal Insulin Pump Treatment for Pregnant Women with Diabetes. Through her professional development, she completed numerous courses, including specialist course Performing and interpretation of the ECG record, diabetes educator course, course Certified pump traineras well as a specialist course Protective vaccinations for nurses and midwives. In 2016, Ms Joanna Płoska obtained a personal insulin pump trainer certificate.
Privately, since 2011, she has also been struggling with type 1 diabetes, and therefore the area of issues related to this disease is very well known to her. Thanks to the experience gained, she tries to show her patients that despite getting sick, they can live a normal life.
In her free time, Ms. Joanna Płoska likes to go on mountain trips, climb a climbing wall or jump on a trampoline. Her activities also include gym exercises, dancing and running. Mrs. Joanna emphasizes that diabetes is not a limitation for her when performing the above activities.
